0% VAT Residential Installations Only
Following the recent budget announcement by Rishi Sunak 0% VAT is applicable on all residential Air Conditioning & Air Source Heat Pump installs. The initiative supports Governments targets to cut emissions and alleviate financial stress due to the energy crisis.
Air Conditioning was not originally included, however, as they are Heat Pumps, their usage is dual purpose and the gasses used (R22 & 410A) enhance heating efficiency meant that they could come under the Heat Pump incentive.
It should be noted that the 0% VAT only applies to the installation process, not merely the purchasing of the equipment. The Government have stated that this ZERO VAT rate will run until March 2027. (This excludes portable units)
